Samsung is about to release its next flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 8, within the next few months. The Note 8 will be the company’s next challenge to win the smartphone battle after the recalling of 3 million units of the Note 7 due to battery fires. So far Samsung is doing just fine with its Galaxy S8 as there are no reports on battery explosions. “I will bring back a better, safer and very innovative Note 8,” D.J. Koh, Samsung’s mobile chief said.
Samsung has already confirmed to release the Galaxy Note 8 in 2017 though there is specific launch date so far. However, we can expect to see the company’s next flagship phablet on autumn or in late September.

The Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to have 6.2 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display,16M colors, with resolutions of 3840 x 2160 pixels, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 back panel. The phone will have IP68 certified which means dust and water proof over 1.5 meter and for 30 minutes. The phone will also be equipped with S Pen and features Samsung Pay, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, face or smile detection, geo-tagging, Auto HDR, panorama.
The phone is rumored to run Android 7.1 Nougat, and will be equipped with 12 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash; as well as 8 MP secondary camera with dual video call, Auto HDR.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Sensors
The Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to feature iris scanner sensor, fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, and SpO2.
According to a report, the phone won’t have an in-screen fingerprint sensor “We made every effort to install a display-integrated fingerprint sensor on Galaxy Note 8, but we decided not to install it on this strategic phone due to various technical limitations such as security,”
Samsung’s current flagship phone, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, have their fingerprint scanner on at the back of the smartphones, where most users don’t really like them. Samsung might want to put them back on where they used to be on its upcoming flagship.
Bixby AI assistant
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have Bixby AI assistant work straight out of the box. The company said that Bixby digital assistant is a priority on Samsung phones and other devices.

The Note 8 will surely cost more thatn the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy Note 7 was priced at about $850, so we can expect the cost to start there.
